Since the 1980's I have been exploring the physical, emotional and spiritual relationships between humans and machines. My Digital Bird Cages and Nano Cages are as much a commentary on 21st Century Gadget Culture and Virtual pets as they are about the human mind and body relationship.

Ideas about "Illusion" vs "Real" and "spiritual worlds" vs "physical worlds" are important topics for my work. Consciousness is not a physical thing. But physical things are an exression of consciousness.
